Turquoise Bud Vase

Handmade, wheel thrown stoneware bud vase.  Made with an iron-rich brown clay, glazed in a matte turquoise glaze, and fired to cone 10 in reduction.  The glaze is dipped strategically to contrast with the raw clay.  This process produces the intense and varying speckling, or freckled, effect. 

Each piece is one of a kind, and thus will have slight variations in color, size, glaze, and firing effects. Please enjoy these subtle beauties of handmade objects.
