This original screen print poster depicts a fictional "Elephantus Papilio," or "butterfly elephant." This design was inspired by medieval bestiaries of fantasy creatures.

Screen printing is the process of using a squeegee to transfer ink through a fine mesh stencil onto the paper. I don't use any machines in my printing technique. The handmade nature of this art means that each print has very slight, unique variations, which is a part of the beauty of screen printing.

Prints are signed by the artist in pencil in the bottom right corner with the edition number in the bottom left corner.
